Dubai Customs’ Notice No. 04/2026 introduces a temporary “Green Corridor” arrangement with Oman, designed to safeguard trade flows into Dubai amid current disruptions. Effective from 14 March 2026, the measure allows diverted sea and air shipments to move seamlessly via bonded trucking routes from Omani ports and airports into Dubai’s logistics hubs. The initiative reflects both pragmatic crisis management and regional cooperation, ensuring that Dubai’s role as a global trade gateway remains intact despite external pressures.
For sea cargo, containers originally bound for Jebel Ali but diverted to Omani ports will be transported by sealed, bonded trucks, with customs transit declarations filed in Oman and seals verified at Al Wajajah and Hatta border points. Air cargo diverted to Omani airports will follow a similar process, requiring advance transmission of cargo manifests and seal verification before release at Dubai airports. Local imports into Dubai mainland will be cleared either directly after scanning or, for special shipments, through the Dubai Dry Port Customs Centre following seal verification.
The strategic implications are significant. First, the corridor ensures continuity of supply chains, reducing delays and safeguarding commercial confidence in Dubai’s ports and airports.
